A New Revelation: People Actually Need the News

You know me by now (and if you don't, don't be surprised by what you're about to hear): I hate the corporate, rich, and stupid America as opposed to the cunning, sensical America. People in this country don't know what the hell they're talking about. I realized that today when I read an article in my school newspaper written by the editor-in-chief stating that on September 11th, America was attacked by Iraqi terrorists. While this is one REALLY good reason that the September 11th hype is stupid, that's not the main point of this post. I've really come to realize that people really DO need the news, even as screwed up as it is.

Yeah, sure most all mainstream media is biased, incorrect, and terrible all-over in regards to reporting actual stories that matter (Natalie Holloway stories: I'm talking about you). Most of the shit is totally pointless and it makes me wonder why people really care. But then again, there is shit out there that really matters, regardless of how factual it may be. While I don't agree with the hype of 9/11, the point really is: you should still know what the hell happened. Iraqi terrorists are not even a credible theory as far as anyone is concerned.

Young America, listen to me. You're fucked. Honestly. Some things will catch up with you no matter how far you stray from them: things like politics, fads. Eventually, you're going to at LEAST know about them, if not involved with them. Why can't it be the same way for news? If you ever want to get anywhere in society: GET INFORMED. I think that once the majority of Americans begin to pay attention to important and current events, the world will turn out much better. Hell, you don't even have to care about them: just know what the hell you're talking about.
